VISITOR REGISTRATIONS FOR OFFSHORE WIND TÜRKİYE 2026 NOW OPEN

Turkey’s offshore wind energy ecosystem will meet in Istanbul on October 13-14, 2026. With the launch of the official website, free visitor registrations have also begun.

At a time when the more effective utilization of Turkey’s marine areas for energy, transportation, logistics, and industry is on the agenda, offshore wind energy stands out as one of the country’s new energy and industrial priorities. Organized by the Turkish Offshore Wind Energy Association (DÜRED/TOWEA), Offshore Wind Türkiye 2026 will bring together industry stakeholders at the Piri Reis University Congress Center on October 13-14, 2026.

The official website for the event, offshorewindturkiye.com, has been launched, and visitor registrations are now being accepted. Participation will be free; however, pre-registration is required due to limited capacity.

Turkey’s 5 GW offshore wind target is on the agenda

The global offshore wind market continues to grow. According to Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) data, the worldwide installed offshore wind capacity reached 92.5 GW by the end of 2025. Turkey aims to achieve 5 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2035. The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources has identified four candidate offshore Renewable Energy Resource Area (RERA) sites off the coasts of Saros Bay, Gökçeada, Bozcaada, and Edremit. According to the Ministry’s announcement in August 2026, Turkey’s first offshore wind RERA tender is planned to be held in the first quarter of 2027.

These developments transform offshore wind investments not only in terms of energy production but also into a strategic industrial agenda that encompasses numerous sectors such as ports, shipyards, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, finance, and human resources.

Public, industry, maritime, and energy sectors on the same platform

Offshore Wind Türkiye 2026 aims to bring together public institutions, investors, project developers, turbine and equipment manufacturers, engineering companies, ports, shipyards, maritime and logistics companies, financial institutions, universities, and sector associations in a two-day program.

The event is hosted by Piri Reis University and organized by DÜRED, with contributions from the Istanbul Development Agency (İSTKA), South Marmara Development Agency (GMKA), and DEHUKAM, and in collaboration with sectoral stakeholders, primarily the Energy Industrialists and Businessmen Association (ENSİA), the Turkish Shipbuilders’ Association (GİSBİR), and the Turkish Port Operators Association (TÜRKLİM).
