As the first day&#8217;s program of the symposium concluded, T\u00dcRKL\u0130M Secretary General Faruk Do\u011fan, a D\u00dcRED member, also participated in the event.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Organized in coordination with the Mersin Chamber of Shipping; in cooperation with Ankara University National Center for Maritime Law Research (DEHUKAM) and Mersin International Port Management Inc. (MIP), the symposium brings together national and international academics, public institutions, legal and maritime experts, and representatives from the port and maritime sectors.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The symposium addresses the legal regime and boundaries of ports, international maritime trade, legal liability in port services, smart ports and artificial intelligence applications, cybersecurity, data protection, maritime security, and port state controls.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The program also evaluates current regulations and sectoral developments concerning the social rights of maritime workers, port state jurisdiction, regional cooperation, green ports, decarbonization, and marine environmental protection.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The participation of D\u00dcRED President Dr. Murat Durak highlights the importance of port infrastructure, maritime law, and sectoral collaborations for the development of the offshore wind energy sector.
